- Document and resolve non-conforming material issues from internal rejections and for supplier rejections.
- Document and resolve customer RMA issues.
- Supports QA manager with Quality Management Review by performing and providing data analysis, trend analysis and ensuring data accuracy and calculations for KPI metrics.
- Technical writing skills that include quality management system processes and procedures.
- Identifies and drives process improvement initiatives to completion.

The ideal candidate will have a high school degree or equivalent and at least 3+ year’s recent quality experience in a manufacturing environment. They will have practical experience working within Quality Management Systems (AS9100 and ISO 9001) and have in-depth knowledge of IPC-610 and IPC J-STD-001 standards. A current IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-610 certification is a plus. We are looking for an intelligent, technically savvy and trustworthy individual, with an exceptional ability to multi-task and support companywide activities.
Responsibilities:
- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, reviewing CofC, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Performs complete layout inspection by locating reference points and measuring dimensions using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and/or dial indicator to ensure product meets specifications.
- Performs and documents first article inspections.
- Performs inspection and verification on incoming, in-process and outgoing products.
- Visually compares work products against one another to assess/detect manufacturing variations.
- Reports quality problems or findings to the Quality Manager and follows up to ensure that corrective action has/will take place.
- Maintains record of inspections and list of defects.

ESI is looking for a talented and motivated individual for a role of Systems Engineer to support our embedded software platforms. This individual will work under the guidance of the company President and Director or Engineering and in collaboration with other engineering areas.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related Engineering discipline (GPA > 3.3), and 5+ years recent experience in Requirements Management, V&V with customer facing responsibility.
Candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in:
- Fluency in the use of DOORS, Jama Requirements Management or similar tool
- Support document preparation and import into database, requirements change management, document exports, creating reports and collecting metrics
- Create and manage accounts, accesses and permissions and administration of the requirements management tool
- Effectively manage requirements across multiple programs
- Assist in the development, updating and maintenance of Requirements training materials, policies, procedures and work instructions
- Systems engineering and understanding of how requirements drive design
- Document and drive acceptance and qualification test plans, procedures and reports
- Establish product development stage gate technical criterion and support integration
- Perform hardware level requirements validation and support verification
- Requirement bi-directional traceability and closure of requirements
- Support companywide implementation of Requirements management tool – from proposals, to quotation to design to verification and closure

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities:
- Leads various design activities for new/existing products, predominantly involving moderate throughput/memory utilization requirements and design functionality coupled to an embedded OS.
- Leads design modifications for existing products, frequently driven by hardware obsolescence situations or bug fixes in response to field returns. The design modification is usually of moderate complexity and may require major redesign of a software module in the embedded system.
- Applies moderately complex software engineering principles and techniques to support/lead design, development, documentation, and test/verification activities. Possesses product domain knowledge of programs that he/she is currently working.
- Directly interfaces with Systems Engineering to interpret requirements into software architecture/design, identify traceability, and generate test/code coverage plans.
- Drives multi-core processor architecture development with selection, interface and programming. Directly interfaces with Electrical Engineering to assess resource utilization of hardware required to meet performance requirements.
- Development of microcontroller low-level device drivers for UART, SPI and I2C using multiple DMA channels and ISRs
- Assists/supports Production and Service Station teams with troubleshooting methods of pre-delivery and field return products (primarily involving special test equipment user interface definition). Leads the generation of root cause corrective actions when failure analysis requires embedded software engineering support.
- Understands/utilizes internal processes and tools for software design/documentation/test. Shares process/tool knowledge with others.
- Provide direction for Electronics circuit design, assembly, troubleshooting and support repair.
- Design and automate test equipment for certification and production activities.
- Works under general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
- Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
- Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems including but not limited to DSP selection, Communication protocol software and hardware and alternate architectures and interfaces.
- Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects which have significant effect on the success of a sub-process/small project task.
- Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Develop real-time, embedded software.
