Electromechanical Assembler (EMA)
Job Description:
ESI Motion offers high performance revolutionary products for rugged applications in a compact package which is light, scalable and incredibly powerful. Our reliable modular servo drives and control systems, which are fielded on both commercial and defense applications, come complete with full engineering services and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced, diversified solder and mechanical assembly operations to build intricate, large and small assemblies to precise specification requirements.
- Build, modify and repair perform PCB assemblies that have both through hole and surface mount components. Route wires, solder to electrical components, cable tie and install connectors.
- Employees must be certified to J-STD-001 to perform solder assembly; rework and inspection of the products processed through solder operations certified in IPC.
- Work from verbal as well as documented work instructions, spec sheets, blueprints, sketches and complex assembly drawings. Must be able to work in multiple product lines/cells, with minimal familiarization or remedial training.
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments, scales, gauging devices and test equipment to verify proper function and operation of sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
- Utilize solder equipment, hand tools, fixtures, pneumatic and power tools for the mechanical and solder assembly of components. Secures nuts, wires and cable by applying liquid adhesives.
- Perform assembly and solder operation processes with little or no supervision. Perform movement of materials in MRP system, such as work order movement and completion. Completed assemblies are subject to inspection and test.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor, lead person or lead back-up person.
- Work with Safety in mind, ensuring all safety procedures are being followed. Must notify lead or supervisor of any concerns with regards to own and others safety and security.

- Familiar with conformal coating and potting process.
- Exhibit sufficient understanding of electro static discharge to properly use ESD materials while handling or performing operations on ESD sensitive components.

- The employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates.

Operations Supervisor
Job Description:
We are looking for a driven, and experienced individual to supervise Test Engineer Team, Production Team, and operational activities in a fast-paced advanced technology environment. They will be an intelligent, organized and trustworthy individual, with an exceptional ability to lead and support operational activities.
Responsibilities:
- Successfully perform operational tasks by developing, planning, and supervising manufacturing operations including plans, policies and procedures.
- Oversee the creation of budgets for equipment expenditures and direct / indirect labor; development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost, schedule and quality results.
- Supervise production and test engineering operations
- Accountable for product metrics and performance, including quality delivery, responsiveness, cost, capital plans, on-time delivery and required operational staffing.
- Maintain safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility by understanding of applicable quality system, customer requirements and operational compliance (e.g. ISO9001 and AS9100, and OSHA.)
- Manage performance metrics, standards and measurements for production and test engineering teams.
- Supervise and coach production and test engineering performance to create / enhance operational efficiencies and improve and create a positive work environment.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of program information to senior management.
- Must drive emerging trends and technologies in manufacturing excellence as a key member of the leadership team.
- Must review new product quotes with sales, assuring adequate resources are available to take on new business and provide a timely reply to quote requests.
- Must have a strong understanding of production and fabrication of electro-mechanical components.
- Will work with Engineering to support direction of design and development of tooling and manufacturing processes for both custom and proprietary products.
- Will advise the company’s Vice President of Operations on all-important matters, which may require immediate action or attention at the level in the organization.
- Support client requests as needed.
- Engage in budget and resource planning in accordance with upcoming programs, company initiatives, and goals.
- Interface with clients related to legacy or production programs.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Aerospace, Space, Defense or Specialized Commercial organization with significant emphasis on electronics or electromechanical manufacturing operations

Program Manager
Job Description:
Looking for a driven and experienced individual to lead programs, establish and maintain rapport with clients, and support sales proposals. This person will play a key role in our organization with great upward potential and will work directly under the Director of Program Management and in collaboration with other company departments.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or other related discipline with a GPA>3.2 from an accredited university. The individual must have 7+ years of actual program management experience in an aerospace or defense environment.
Candidate should be able to demonstrate recent experience in:
- Aerospace or Defense Industry
- Coordinating multiple programs and driving programs to on-time delivery
- Managing budgets for cost plus and firm fixed price contracts
- Developing WBS and schedules in MS Project
- Managing change requests and negotiating new contracts
- Quoting activities and developing response to RFIs/RFPs
Candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge in:
- Project Management Methodologies (PMBOK); PMM certification is a plus

Quality Engineer
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to perform quality engineering activities in a fast-paced, advanced technology environment. This individual will work under the guidance of the company Quality Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Engineering plus 3+ year’s recent quality experience in a manufacturing environment. They will have in-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (AS9100 and ISO9001) and internal auditing experience. The candidate will have practical experience with IPC-610-A and IPC J-STD-001 standards and space product handling. Experience with performing receiving and in-process inspection is a plus. They will be a technically savvy and trustworthy individual, with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and support companywide activities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform closed-loop corrective action and root cause analysis
- Assemble and review end-item data packages for submittal to customers.
- Performs and documents first article inspections, both internal and AS9102 reports.
- Review and approve supplier first article inspection reports per AS9102B.
- Responsible for product and data presentation for final customer acceptance.
- Resolve non-conforming material issues.
- Technical writing skills that include quality management system processes and procedures.
- Identifies and drives process improvement initiatives to completion.
- Performs product, process, and system audits and verifies effectiveness of corrective actions that were taken.
- Review quality requirements of contracts, PO’s, and amendments to awarded contracts, and identify any unique customer requirements for workmanship or traceability.

Test Technician
Job Description:
The Test Technician’s role is to setup and perform testing support in conjunction with our fast-paced test engineering team. This individual will work in collaboration with other production and engineering areas under the guidance and supervision of the Test Engineering Lead. Our selected candidate will play a key role in achieving our goals while maintaining our reputation for excellence and superior commitment to quality.
Essential Functions:
- Production test of custom PCBAs and electronics systems
- Setup of test equipment to conduct system/board-level testing.
- Read schematics to aid in setup and test
- Provide clear and effective communication on status of projects
- Maintain test assets and setups
- Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment including but not limited to oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter, and other electronic test equipment
- Use of common hand tools such as screwdrivers and tweezers
- Test data gathering, storing, retrieving and analyzing
- Follow and adhere to all applicable manufacturing procedures and documentation
- Board and system level testing
- Establish and maintain organizational system in labs
- Adhere to ESD best practices
